It is really simple to keep track of your volunteer hours to make sure you complete your goal of 100 hours in one year! Simply make an Excel chart.
- Label the first column date. Under this column you will record the date that each activity occurred on.
- The second column will list the type of volunteer work completed.
- Thirdly, list the number of hours it took to complete this service.
- Finally, add a wider column for comments. Here you can include any special memories or information that you want to remember. You could also put contact information here for the name of the person in charge of that volunteer activity. That way, you could contact them later if you want to help out again.
Remember to bring this document with you when volunteering. That way you can document the hours and information right away so you do not forget.
It is important to plan ahead too. If you just plan for 9 hours of community service per month, you should have no problem completing your goal. Be sure to plan your volunteering a month in advance to make sure you remain on target of 100 hours in 1 year!
